The program will also spotlight
an original work by USC dance
Professor Melody Schaper, who
has choreographed a modem pas de
deux to Claude DeBussy's "Claire
de Lune."
The work "Mirrors of the Moon"
will feature students Angie Hauser
and Jeremy Jacobs in a love duet of
passion, tenderness and support.
The dancers "speak" to each other
in voice-overs diat are read during
the performance. First the
woman's poem, "Mirrors," is read,
followed the man's poem,
"Learning to Dance." The poems
were written by North Carolina
poet Thomas Rain Crowe.
Another modern work,
"Inspirations," has been choreographed
by University of Georgia
dance Professor BaJa Sarasvati.
"Inspirations" is a fast-paced
"work in the style of legendary 11
American choreographer Martha t
Graham and is set to the music of ^
Bach's "Brandenburg Concerto."
Guest choreographer Darrell ^
Cooper, a former dancer with the S
Atlanta Ballet, has choreographed a d
fun jazz piece to a big band sound. C
The work will feature five females p
