The USC baseball team's win ^
streak ended Saturday at nine ?
games. The Gamecocks fell victim
to the fourth-ranked team in the <
nation, Louisiana State University. ?
USC dropped both ends of a 1
doubleheader in Baton Rouge, 10-3 r
and 6-1. USC's pitching ace Matt (
Threehouse only lasted one inning {
against the Tigers, giving up seven
runs off of five hits in the first i
inning. j
Six of the runs came off of two (
three-run home runs. Freshman
hurler Ted Rose gave up the other ,
three runs in the eighth.
The only redeeming thing about {
the day was that the Gamecocks
took a no-hitter away from LSU
pitcher Brett Laxton in the final
inning of the final game. <
