After a night of dunks, blocks
and fast breaks, the lISC-Georgia
game Wednesday night was decided
by a missed 12-foot jump shot
at the buzzer. Life sure is ironic,
isn't it?
Actually, the miss by Georgia's
Pertha Robinson seemed a most fitting
climax to the most exciting
Carolina basketball game of the
season, a game that saw the

victory.
Carolina, which had a 10-point
lead erased by the defense of
Shandon Anderson and the threepoint
shooting of Ty Wilson and
Cleveland Jackson, turned the ball
over on a shot clock violation with
seven seconds left in the game.
Georgia, after a time out, took the
ball down court and was forced to
settle for Robinson's jumper.
According to USC guard Cary
Rich, the plan was to deny any
penetration to the basket.

The most important game of the
1 NFL season is just two days away,
and the festivities are already underway
in Pasadena, Calif., as fans are
anxiously awaiting the kickoff of
Super Bowl XXVII.
The battle of the season between
the Dallas Cowboys and the Buffalo
Bills begins at sundown Sunday.
