Reversing Hour, and saw one of *
the songs was named "Chicken
Culture," I began reviewing my list s

Town Theatre, America's oldest 1
community theater, begins its 74th
season with a brand new stage and
flyloft building.
Their Show stoppers series begins
its second decade with a brand new
format.
The stage becomes a nightclub
with a constantly changing floor
show, spotlighting whatever music
is currently hot, whether it is nostalgic
memories of big bands, hip
hop and rap or country and westem.
As the music changes, the band
adapts to the styles of such bandleaders
as Louis Prima, Xavier
Cugat or hot country singer Billy
Ray Cyrus.

The disc begins with "Cars," a
netaphor of cars and life. It is a
;reat beginning because the song
ntroduction is the sound of a car

"Kings Lead Hat," a cover of a
ong written by Brian Eno, is
ntriguing. After a limp thrash
>eginning, which makes you want
o press the next track button, the
,ong progresses into a smooth, fast
lumber that ends successfully.
"Putting My Clubfoot Down"

Overall choreography and direction
is done by the show's cowriter
Emmalee Robbins, with
additional choreography by Rhonda
Ralston Marchant, Pam Baily and
Pam Collins. The show is sponsored
in part by NationsBank.
Showstoppers Cavalcade of Stars
runs through Nov. 21. Curtain time
is 8 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday
nights, with 3 p.m. matinees
Saturdays and Sundays Nov. 8, 14,
15 and 21.
Tickets are $12 for adults, $10
for senior citizens, college students
and military personnel afrd $8 for
children under 18.
