Beginning Sept. 5, college football
as we now know it will be but
a distant memory.
That is is the day that the
University of South Carolina opens
the season against the University of
ueorgia, and the uamecocks baptism
under fire will begin.
The goal of all twelve SEC gladiators
is to make it to the most
important game in SEC history, the
Dec. 5 inaugural SEC
Championship Game, to be held in
Birmingham's Legion Field.
The Gamecocks will be battling
it out with Gators, Bulldogs,
Volunteers, Commodores and
Wildcats for the right to represent
the SEC Eastern Division in
Birmingham against the best in the
West.
Following is a look at each of
the teams of the East for whom the
"Road to Birmingham" is about to
begin.
Florida
According to the SEC coaches,
