The Lady Gamecock basketbal
team notched its first road win ii
the SEC with a 66-50 victory ove
Florida Saturday.
Four players scored in doubh
figures as USC, which neve
trailed, improved its record t<
11-11 overall, and 3-5 in the SEC.
The team will travel to the up
state to face rival Clemsoi
Wednesday.
I his was a tremendous roa(
win for us," Coach Nancy Wilsoi
said. "We feel good about this wii
over a strong team."
The women held Florida to ;
feeble 32 percent shooting fron
the field. USC also out-rebounde<
the Lady Gators by 14.
The biggest asset for the Lad;
Gamecocks, however, was free
throw shooting. The Lady Game
cocks sunk 24 of 31 free throw
with 21 coming in the second half.
