Chlamydia is a sexually transmitted
infection caused by a small
bacterium, chlamydia trachomatis.

little or no symptoms. Sixty to 80
percent of women and 10 to 20
percent of men show no signs of

Those females who do exhibit
signs of chlamydia usually have a
burning sensation during urination,

can result in the scarring of the fallopian
tubes, infertility or tubal
