Of course all of us remember such
memorable events as the Vietnam
War and the Hippie Movement,
and we are' familiar with '60s
music thanks to "oldi$s but goodies"
radio stations, but we really
don't know how that generation ol
music came about.
On Sunday night, performer and
songwriter Barry Drake will preBriefs

The '91 Homecoming Dance
will be held Saturday night from
9 p.m. until 1 a.m. "under the
Big Tap" of the Carolina Coliseum.
VIP Video Dance Show
will provide the entertainment
and admission is free. Trolley
Tours of Columbia will offer
transportation to and from the
dance with pick-up locations at
the Russell House, Capstone,
McBryde Quad, Bates and Whaley's
Mill. The routes will begin
at 8:30 p.m and continue until
the dance is over.
USC student organizations
began building homecoming displays
Tuesday and they are sure
to prove to be 'Simply the BestF
All displays are located on the
Horseshoe and everyone is encouraged
to come by and enjoy
the view. Judging will be held
today at noon and the winner
will be recognized during halftime
at the game.
