As part of a weekend promotion,
FOX 102.3 gave away Sting
CD's to callers every hour. Winners
were then registered for the
grand prize. Mowrey and her
roommate had both been the 10th
callers at different times during the
weekend so by Monday morning
they were both registered for the
concert tickets.
"We stayed up all night long so
that we wouldn't miss it," Mowrey
said about the early morning announcement
of the winners over
the radio.
"We just had this feeling," she
said.

oui uit iccmig 01 winning was
not an uncommon one for the USC
junior. In fact, it was just this past
spring when she won front row
tickets and backstage passes for
the same Sting Soul Cages concert
which played here in Columbia.
The tickets were also part of a
local radio station promotion.
"I'm still excited," Mowrey said
about going to see the concert
again. "(Sting) is so fun. His British
accent makes him so cute."
