Summer
By DAVID BOWDEN
and AARON SHEININ
Editors
With summer upon us, Dave
and I decided we would look back
at some of the movies already released
and preview a few that are
coming soon.
Backdraft: What ever you do,
see this movie, see it now. Do not
wait to see it on video tape because
you'll miss the effect of the
fire.
Boyz in the Hood: Any movie
with Ice Cube can't be all that bad.
Right Aaron? NOT!
City Slickers: Billy Crystal was
hilarious but the movie was kind
of sad. I laughed, I cried ... Jack

The celebrations started in
early March with the first Persian
Gulf war veterans returning
home. In mid-June, the celebrations
are still continuing at full
speed.
As New York's lower Manhattan
boasted a huge ticker-tape
parade last week, Columbia also
had a celebration to be proud of.
The Cultural Council of Richland
and Lexington Counties in conjuncton
with the Koger Center
hosted the Tri-Service Band's

Aaron, it was a good movie. And,
it had the most beautiful girl in the

Soapdish: The story line was

Kevin Kline saved the movie.
