Greek Week, sponsored by the ^
USC fraternity and sorority councils,
is a 38-year-old tradition for J

is "Above and Beyond." '

Greek Week Co-Chairman Joel <

a huge success. "There was a bigger
turnout this year than at last <
year's games, and I think everyone I
really enjoyed themselves." 5
Other activities planned for the 1

Greek Week will also feature

Lowry said she hopes the entire
Greek Week will be a great success.
"We plan these events yearly,
and we always wish for the best.
We want the events to let greeks

Greek Week will continue
through Thursday. Everyone is invited
to attend the festivities. The
time and days of all the events are
posted around campus.

Abstinence, condoms

You were probably wondering what happened to
"that sex column." Well, we're back again, and keeping
with this semester's new format, we have

^r these articles with an open mind.
Even from a health standpoint, it can certainly be
said that abstinence is a great choice, if not the best
choice. (Best, however, is a decision individuals must
make for themselves.) When people abstain from

outcomes for the average student.
So, where does that leave us in making "healthful"
^W recommendations about sex? Back to the same thing
you've heard us say before ? abstinence, monogamy
and condoms, in that order. There is absolutely no _
doubt that abstinence is the safest alternative, because
it's the only one that's 100 percent. But the
other choices will certainly increase the chances of
healthy outcomes for sexually active people.
A reminder here about monogamy. It does not
mean the brand often practiced by students which we
call "serial monogamy." That means you're only
with one partner at a time, even if it's a different
partner each weekend. From a health standpoint,
