By BRIAN SHELTON

It was filmed under the moniker
"Valkenvania," and it's advertised
with the name Nothing but Trouble,,
but what this flick should be
called is Nothing but Boring, Nothing
but Wretched, or Nothing but
Absolute Warthog Puke.
Or better yet, just call it No- ,
thing. That would not only serve
as a title but describe 1) how many
things are funny about this movie,
2) how much Dan Ackroyd knows
about directing (this is Ackroyd's :
directorial debut), and 3) how '
much money this turkey will
make. \

n Nothing but Trouble would be
ble to pull it off. Here you've got
Dhevy Chase, Dan Ackroyd and
ohn Candy, all off relative successes
(Christmas Vacation, Driving
Miss Daisy and Uncle Buck respectively)
and probably some of
he best comedic actors around,
ifou would think you could put
hese guys in anything and get big
aughs, right? Wrong.
With a totally humorless script,
hey seem to be stumbling around,
rying to find something to do.
^hase looks especially bored,
jrobably because, unlike the other
wo, he only gets to play one
:haracter.
Ackroyd and Candy get the exreme
pleasure of playing dual
larts. Candy gets to portray Sheriff
'urdah and, with the aid of a
Iress, a wig and 500 pounds of
riakeup, his mute sister, Eldona.
