"Campus Rape," which is narrated
by Susan Dey and Corbin Bernsen
of "L.A. Law."
The film is frequently shown to
fraternities and sororities to show
what they can do to reduce their
risk of rape and to show males that
they must take responsibility for
their actions.
Donna Jordan, director of Volunteers
and Community Relations
for Rape Crisis Network, said it is
important for the victims to know
there are policies and procedures at
USC to support and guide them.
Some victims will go through a
post-trauma stress syndrome. Representatives
of the Rape Crisis
Network said the victims of rape
need to be taken care of both physically
and mentally.
Another issue was the need for

After Tuesday's missile strike,
an Israeli army spokesman said of
the Patriots: "They were fired; they
did not hit."
Earlier in the day, Foreign Minister
David Levy suggested Israel
might have to respond to another
attack. "Nobody in Israel is interested
in being a sacrificial lamb,"
he said. After the attack, it was announced
the Israeli Cabinet would
meet Wednesday to decide how to
respond.
Twenty or 30 of the missile's
mobile launchers are believed to
be on the loose in southern Iraq,
apparently hiding during the day,
emerging to menace Israel and
Saudi Arabia at night.
The extent of the fires and damage
to Kuwait's oil facilities was
unclear.

Farrar said he was pleased with
the selection process.
"The committee worked very
hard. They had a very difficult task
because there were 12 outstanding
candidates. I do think the committee
picked five solid candidates,"
he said.
Search committee member and
journalism professor Patricia
McNeely said any of the candidates
would make a good dean.
"We have a very fine group of
finalists. What is most gratifying is

"Rape awareness on campuses is
beginning, and with the help of
students and administrators it can
be made more difficult for sexual

Bulkeley was ecstatic about her
selection as a finalist to the dean

"I think it's really super. I had a
high interest in the position and I
feel the program at USC is a fine

'The college has always been a

He hesitated to give the new

Eveslage said the position as
journalism dean would be
prestigious.
"USC has such a good journalism
school. They have always had
a good reputation," he said. "I've

that field.
"It's a hard profile program that

Holderman's presidency. It is
aimed at getting USC in the top 10
list of colleges and universities in
the country, with nationally recognized
programs.
Holderman resigned in the summer
as a climax to months of media
criticism over extravagant
spending. But he says he is not bitter
about his resignation.
"It gave me an opportunity to
move on," he said. "But I have no
hard feelings. I have too many
connections with the place."
Holderman said he and his wife,
Caroline, visit their daughters in
Columbia at least once a month.
"My wife and I miss The

too loud."
