USC wins one in Fla.

The Lady Gamecock volleyball team could only pull out one victory
in three matches over the weekend in Florida.
USC got off to a good start in the Sunshine State Friday night as they
took the first game from Jacksonville 15-2. The Dolphins rebounded
though to win the second 15-9.
The Lady Gamecocks regained the momentum in the match, hammering
Jacksonville in game three 15-1. USC held the Dolphins to only four
points in the fourth and final match and won 15-4.
Saturday, USC took on defending Metro champion Florida State. The
Laay semmoies won tne rirst game 15-5. ihe Lady Gamecocks scored
eight points in the second game but were beaten 15-8. FSU finished off
USC in the third game, with a 15-6 win.
Against South Florida on Sunday, the Lady Gamecocks played well
but could not defeat the Bulls, losing 15-3, 16-14 and 15-11.
