Stadium
gets new signs
From staff reports
When football season starts up
this fall, don't be surprised to see
some new signs hanging around
the stadium.
USC has received two verbal
commitments from two major corporations
and hopes to get three
more before the football season for
athletic event sponsorship.
The two companies who have
signed on for sponsorship are
USAir and Bi-Lo. The other three
were not identified by associate
athletic director Art Baker. USC's
goal is to gross $1 million from
corporate sponsorship during the
upcoming athletic year.
According to Baker, a major
corporation is one which contributes
at least $40,000. That
amount gives them the right to
place advertisements in WilliamsBrice
Stadium, Frank McGuire
arena and other USC facilities.
The sponsors will also appear on
tickets for designated games, programs
and concessions, such as
cups.

the top women's program.
The USC men's programs finished

The Lady Gamecocks took the
