the public.
T.ie new facilities include
eight new theaters, the largest
with a capacity of 300 persons,
and a new viewing and sound
system.
Divisions Director David Poland
said the new dolby system,
which includes 14 speakers,
should improve sound quality
and provide more enjoyable
entertainment.
A new computer system is being
used to allow faster service
in the ticket line and at the concession
stand. The concession
stand's background resembles a
Warhol print with a '90's punch,
and up-to-date posters have been
placed outside each theater to
promote the film and help people
find the right theater.

the London scene the following

from a period when Warhol was
captivated by culture of American
Indians.
The one thing that really struck
me during this exhibit was the
realization that none of the images
that Andy Warhol made famous
were created by him. All of his
'art' were reproductions of stills or
company logos that he changed a

created a pseudo-art that made him
famous and his images an icon of
the Sixties and Seventies culture.
Andy Warhol was the youngest
of three sons bom to an immigrant
czech coal miner in Pittsburgh and
grew up during the Depression. He
left home in 1949 seek fame as a
commercial artist in Manhatten.

"Prince of Pop" as a painter,
graphic designer and filmmaker.
He was dubbed this because of his
vast commercial success and well
as artistic talent. He was one of the
most productive artists of our
times, creating hundreds of brushon
paintings as silkcreenings that
celebrated popular artists. He
launched the career of a band ?
the Velvet Underground ? and in
1969 he unveiled a magazine entitled

launched his own cable TV show

on MTV Andy Warhol's 15 Minutes.
Until his death in 1987, he
remained prolific and endlessly attracted
