Oh, excuse me, I was just listening
to my new Moltey Crue album.
I listen to a number of heavy
metal groups, and it hasn't affected
me at all despite what a lot of people
say about this type of music,
but I will admit that I've had the
strangest experiences while under
the influence of heavy metal.
Take for example a few months
ago while listening to Iron Maiden.
I became mesmerized in front of
my stereo, and Satan himself
emerged from the turntable.
That wasn't the strange part
though, with all the back masking

have such an influence, why aren't
more teens committing suicide or
robbing or raping or pillaging?
The fact that millions listen to
heavy metal and are apparently unaffected,
except for their poor
fashion tastes, give little credence
to the idea that music led these
two youths to commit suicide.
The parents of these two young
men are probably just looking to
alleviate some of the pain they feel
by blaming the band, because if
they don't have an outside source
to blame they blame themselves,
which is human nature.
Let us hope that the jury in this
case and others like it will be intelligent
enough to realize this and
not pave the way for more censorship
in the United States.
