six months in jail if convicted of
charges that he bet on college and
professional basketball games as
well as NFL teams.
Assistant solicitor Greg Hembree
said Wednesday he rejected
High's application for a pretrial in
tervention program uccause 01 a
previous convictiqp. That program
allows first-time criminal offenders
to perform community service instead
of going to jail in return for
keeping a clean record.
Hembree said High, 22, did not
