The USC Lady Gamecock soft
ball team has had to cope witl
some injuries as of late.
But USC is still 28-9 and ranket
14th in the nation.
Head coach Joyce Compton
twice named south Region Coacl
of the Year since she took over a
USC in 1987, says the team i:
coping with the injuries and begin
ning to get healthy again.
"Some kids were in position:
that they were not used to play
ing . . . they're starting to gel
healthy again. They are gettinj
healthy back to where they an
able to get their swings in."
