A decision concerning the fate of The Bubble
USC's indoor sports facility destroyed by Hurricane
Hugo, will hopefully be made in the near future, pos
sibly in the next 30 days, Associate Athletic Directoi
John Moore said.
"Right now, we are waiting for the insurance adjusters
to make the determination of loss so that cleanup
can begin," Moore said. "No decision will be decided
on until then," he added.

"I don't know why they called it the soccer dome,"
said Mark Berson, head coach of the USC soccer
team. "We only used the dome about 25 percent of
the time. I guess the name just kind of stuck.
"Our practices aren't hindered at this time of year,"
Berson said. "It's from November through the winter
when the fields become too wet and we rip them up
? and the change in daylight savings time during the
second semester is when we need lights ? when we
will miss the dome the most."
