One enjoyable activity outside
of the classroom is participating in
intramural sports. Students, faculty
and staff all form teams, usually
with peculiar names, to compete
against other teams.
A wide variety of sports are offered
to suit almost any athletic interest
ranging from Softball to innertube
water polo.
There are more than 30 activities
students can sign up for. The
intramural season begins Sept. 5
with 1 pitch co-rec Softball. Signup
will be held from Aug. 28
to Aug. 31. The intramural season
ends in April.,.
Other events for the fall semester
will include flag football, golf,
volleyball,table tennis and wrestling.
Intramurals are generally broken
down into seven divisions which

Director of Intramural Sports
Herbert Camp said he is pleased
with the progress of the program.
The variety of students is a primary
reason for the success of the
intramural activities, he said. The
past year was no exception.
"There were less injuries, better
equipment, more facilities and
more sports offered," Camp said.
There are no negatives about the
program, he said.
