What exactly is malevolent magic?
Students will have the opportunity to find out
Tuesday as Bob Garner, a magician-comedian,
takes the stage at the Golden Spur.
Garner is a reknowned college performer, having
taken his act to more than 150 colleges and universities
this past year. He has also appeared on national
television, including PMMagazine and HBO
specials, and hotels and Resorts International in
Atlantic City.
Everywhere he has performed, Garner has garnished
rave reviews.
"Overall the evening was a tremendous enjoyment.
He kept the audience laughing the whole
time as well as keeping them in awe," a review
released by the University of Notre Dame said.

Lewis book of card tricks and a beat-up deck of
cards. At age 10 he performed his first magic show
and continued performing throughout his school
years.
After high scfTool, Garner began working on a local
ABC-TV show called The Cleveland Comedy
Company, which helped him perfect his comedy
skills.
Being in front of the camera was not enough for
him compared to a live audience, so Garner returned
to the stage with a new comedic flavor to his act.
He said he knew that he did not want to be
categorized with magicians who tell one-liners or
comedians who do gag tricks. Audiences acclaim
the tender balance of humor and prestidigitation
that distinguishes this Ohio native as a man with a
full bag of tricks over one shoulder and a full bag
of laughs slung over the other.
