The Alliance for Peace and Free South
Africa will meet Thursday at 6 p.m. in Russell
House, Room 305. The marital rape bill, South
Africa sanctions bill, fall rally and informational
tables will be discussed. All interested people are

332. She will speak on human rights in South

workshops. The workshops address potential

Prevention will be held Thursday at the Belk

local speakers will identify ways to address this
problem on our campus. All students, faculty

There will be a telecommunications event
celebrating Black History Month. "Beyond the
Dream" will be shown Wednesday from 1 p.m. to

guests experts on the contribution of Blacks to
this country will be speaking.
Not everyone is cut out to be a leader
but USC's Emerging Leader Program can
help teach freshman leadership skills to become
active students on campus. The six-week program
begins Feb. 14 and ends March 28 (excludes spr
ing break). Registration forms are available in the
Campus Activities Center and Off Campus Student
Services. Deadline for registration is Feb.
10. The fee is $15 and includes textbook and all
class materials.
