The USC theatre department will present
"Electra," a play by Sophocles, at Longstreet
Theatre Feb. 9-19. Performances are weekdays
and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m.
Tickets are $8 for the public, $7 for USC faculty
and staff and $4 for students. For reservations,

"For Colored Girls Who Have Considered
Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf" is a dramatic
series of skits and songs presented by the USC
Cultural Series on Feb. 1. The performance is at
the Koger Center, 8 p.m. Tickets are $10 for the
public, $5 for USC students. For reservations,
call 777-7500.
McKissick Museum has late Baroque and
Rococo paintings on display. "Baroque Finale:
Graphic Master Works from the Library of Congress,"
will run Jan. 29-Feb. 28.
During the months of January through
March, the Carolina Program Union and the
Contemporary Sounds Committee is playing host
to the Thursday Nite Live music series. Performances
will be held at the Golden Spur at the
Russell House at 8 p.m. Barry Drake will perform
Jan. 19. Drake plays songs by such artists as
James Taylor, Bob Dylan and Dire Straits. Admission
is $1 for students with USC ID.

Pablo Picasso works are at McKissick
Museum until Jan. 26. "Picasso Linoleum Cuts"
are prints and etchings by the artist. "Picasso," a
film biography, will be shown Jan. 22, 3 p.m. in
the McKissick Archives Room. Admission is free.

Christopher Parkening, a classical guitarist,
will perform at the Koger Center Jan. 24 at 8 p.m.
Tickets are $7-13, and an order form must be
completed for all Koger Center events. Forms can
be picked up at the Coliseum ticket window or by

Health, Fitness
USC is offering a 12-week aerobics certification
class for aerobics instructors and people wanting
to teach aerobics. The weekly sessions begin
Jan. 18 and will feature aerobic dance techniques
and American Red Cross CPR training. Classes
will be held 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Blatt P.E.
Center Room 111. Participants successfully completing
the CPR training will receive American
Red Cross certification. They will also receive a
USC Aerobic Instructor Certificate. Enrollment

The Muslim Women's Convention will be
