STRICTLY EMcnorFn i Theatre group opens show on patio today r. ? nuiii siaii reports The Gamecock Workshop Theater will present its first production of the fall semester for three days beginning today. Nice People Dancing to Good Country Music, a one-act comedy by Lee Blessing, will be presented by the theater group today, Thursday and Friday on the Russell House patio. The show is directed by graduate student Bill Collins. Each of the free performances start at 12:20 p.m. The play is about two eccentric ladies learning to cope with wideopen Texas life. It tells of a former nun and her aunt who live above a bar in Houston. There, they discover the heartaches and thrills of close, personal relationships. The Gamecock Workshop Theater was founded in early January to give undergraduate students a chance to act in and help with theater productions other than regular mainstage and lab production, according to the theater's founder and president, Jose Rivera. "The difference in this theater group and the already existing ones is ? that GWT shows are outdoors ? shows, and only undergraduate 1 students can participate," Rivera said. The group has produced two prior plays and co-sponsored a spring production of Godspell. p?????????
