Blackstock and Cowpens, not to
mention all the tiny farms and forests

In another series of lectures, Lumpkin
disproved an ancient theory
about the evolution of stirrups and
weapons in battle. It turns out that as
a young boy growing up in the Lowcountry,
the curious Lumpkin tested
theories he doubted.

Lumpkin left his legacy with his
students. Those fortunate enough to
have known him will truly miss him
and his great love for life. But his
lessons will continue. And he will not
be forgotten.
