Intramural action for the spring semester heats up Sunday when
basketball gets underway.
One hundred thirty-three teams will compete for five weeks to earn
a spot in the playoffs and a chance for championshipT-shirts.
Monday is the entry deadline for both floor hockey and racquetball
singles competitions.
Entries for wallyball begin today. Wallyball is a form of volleyball
in which the side walls of the court arc used.
The Schick Super Hoops 3 on 3 tournament will be getting underway
soon. Entry deadline is Feb. 2.

top of the Metro Conference with
a 63-60 victory over Florida
State.
With the win USC gains sole
possession of first place in the
conference ? just ahead of
Memphis State and Louisville.
Michael Foster scored 17
points to lead all five USC
starters in double figures,
Wednesday, as the Gamecocks
hit 55.8 percent of their 43 field
goal attempts against the
Seminolcs.
"They played team basketball,"
said first-year head coach
George Felton of his Gamecocks.
"Everybody will have a good
feeling after this one, knowing
they contributed.
"We had patience and con
