Photographer develops history of USC
A color portrait of life at USC and its system campuses has been
compiled by two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning photographer William
Strode.
Strode's 120-page, full-color book Carolina: A University Portrait
is the first pictorial history of USC. It was first published last year by
Fort Church Publishers Inc. of Rhode Island, and it's being
distributed by the University Bookstore.
Strode, who lives near his native Louisville, Ky., has been a
photographer for more than 25 years. In addition to Pulitzers, he has
won the Overseas Press Club award, as well as "Picture of the Year"
and "Picture Editor of the Year" awards. His photographs have appeared
in such publications as Time and National Geographic
magazines.
Carolina: A University Portrait costs $30 and is available only
through the University Bookstore.
