Three Lady Gamccoek seniors
finished their college basketball
careers Wednesday as USC lost
an overtime thriller to Middle
Tennessee State in the first round
of the National Collegiate
Athletic Association women's
tournament, 78-77.
Brantley Southers, Sharon
Gilmore and Mindy Ballou
helped their team come back
from a six-point deficit with 1:18
remaining in regulation to force
the overtime.

Nancy Wilson said.
MTSU's Kim Webb drove for
a layup with just more than one
minute left in the overtime period
to give the Lady Raiders the lead

seconds left as Janet Ross of the

shot, thus ending the Lady
Ciamecocks' 13-gamc winning
streak.
