USC women end season with defeat By JEFF SHREWSBURY Assistant sports editor Three Lady Gamccoek seniors finished their college basketball careers Wednesday as USC lost an overtime thriller to Middle Tennessee State in the first round of the National Collegiate Athletic Association women's tournament, 78-77. Brantley Southers, Sharon Gilmore and Mindy Ballou helped their team come back from a six-point deficit with 1:18 remaining in regulation to force the overtime. ? ITL! - I ?
