Theft in USC residence halls has
dropped 58 percent from last year
because of a campus awareness program
called Operation Campus
Watch, according to the Office of
Crime Awareness.
Danny Baker, assistant vice president
for law enforcement and safety,
has "flooded the residence halls" with
information, including posters and

lock their rooms. The hall staff also
distributes door hangers on
unlocked rooms advising of possible
theft. ^
The watch program spreads crime
prevention information throughout
the campus. Campus Watch is a
"sense of awareness that we are trying
to develop and maintain among the en
tire university community," Baker
said.
