Students to survey
parking dilemma
By Linda Taylor
Volunteers will soon take steps to solve Capstone and Columbia
Hall parking problems, according to the Residential
Life Committee report at Wednesday's Senate meeting.
The 25 Capstone/Columbia Hall volunteers plan to help by
taking a survey to check spaces in the special parking district
Monday through Friday.
"I met with Jim Lamb of Parking and Vehicle Registration
and Systems Vice President of Law Enforcement Danny
Baker. They seem confident we can get some things done as
far as getting lots paved and lights set up between the gravel
pit and Capstone," a Residential Life senator said.

In the latest action in the search for judges, the Judicial
Committee presented seven campus court nominees.for senate
approval.
ALMOST 20 applications came in on the last day and interviews
were still being reviewed last night, said Sen. Wingate.
The Senate approved the appointments without discussion.
Faulty attendance is a problem not only in the classroom,
but apparently in the Senate as well. Rules Committeee Sen.
Wingate stressed the importance of representatives attending
the committee meetings.
SCi Vice President Oscar Prioleau announced Wednesday's
