The basement shops will open as soon as
the merchants have been selected, the leases
signed and the final renovations completed,
said Miles, whom has assumed leasing opera

is actually opened," Miles said.
"We're going to open it as soon as possible.
There's no sense that they (businesses)
can't get in there," said Wert/, noting that a
travel agency interested in a lease needs to
open as soon as possible to provide transportation
services before the holidays.
VVF.RTZ SAID each store will open as
soon as they are ready, and a grand opening
ceremony will be held after most of the stores
have moved in and have been open for
business.
"We'll have a grand opening ? something
similar to what a regular mall would do,"
said Wert/. "We're holding off 'til a holiday
when the ceremony can be tied in to a theme
as Columbus Day."
