"I'M MOVING off campus next
semester because I can't afford to live
on campus anymore," Folts said.
"I think we're paying enough as it
is. I can't understand why they're increasing
it by that much," Eric Evans,
a geology freshman, said.
Anthropology freshman Ashley
Chapman said, "I really don't know
about the situation with the university,
so I can't really say if it's fair. I do
know it's going to hurt a lot of people.
"I think they should get more interaction
with the students and the administration
about the increase to explain
why there are these increases,"
he added.

MOST STUDENTS say this increase
is not needed, but as with other increases,
they'll have to pay it.

additional needed money could be
found in other areas of schools funds.
"The school's frivolity with other
money has caused the student to suffer.
They should look elsewhere for
funds," said Lisa Hoerz, a journalism
junior.
ROD ROBINSON, a music junior,
agreed. "If they need more monev.

said "More money should be in
academics, not athletics. Academics
should come first with stnrt#?nt? hauinn

Many students said they expect to
see some improvement in housing if
they must pay this additional cost.
"It seems that the increased cost of
housing should come along with in

proportion to the increase,"
economics junior Jim LaFemina said.
"I have been here three years, and I
haven't seen such an increase in
maintenance."
