The weather was warm Saturday, as some
400 participants from across the United
States participated in the eighth annual Columbia
Marathon.
Ruth Ozmun set a course record in the
wr?mpn'<i division and also nullified for the
Olympic trials with her 2:49.57 time. Ozmun,
a track coach at Taylor University in Indiana,
bested the record of 2:51.13 set by
Lisa Lorraine in 1977.
Thomas Blumer of Cincinnati won the
overall event, with a 2:24.10 mark. Rounding
