The game started quickly for Clemson as
Chuck Nash took what proved to be the
Tigers' only shot of the first half within a
minute. From that point on, the Bulldogs
dominated the half.
With 15:40 remaining, Ibezim Ofedu
threw the ball inbounds to Rahman Alarape,
who tapped the ball to Obedebe for the
score.
The Bulldogs had a first-half chance
when Tiger goalie Jamie Swanner came out
of the box to deflect Nashon Oluoch's shot,
leaving the goal open, but the ball was
cleared away.
The Tigers, who dominated the second
half, missed on another scoring opportunity
when Gary Conner's shot was fumbled by
Bulldog goalie Chidi Opara.
Nash was too late getting to the ball, and
Opara was able to recover.
