conference schools voted unanimously by
telephone Monday to invite USC to join,
according to USC Athletic Director Bob
Marcum.
If the board of trustees decides to accept
the invitation, USC will be eligible for the
conference's championships in men's and

matrix display boards for its athletic
facilities. Associate Athletic Director John
Moore said the display boards will be in
stalled in Carolina Coliseum, at Sarge Frye
Field and adjacent to Williams-Brice
Stadium.
Moore said the board inside the Coliseum
will be one of the first in use in the nation.
