SWENSOr I Conveniently located near campus, Swenson's has recently become a popular spot for USC students and faculty alike. Swenson's brings back the good old days when ice cream parlors were still around. Perhaps this restaurant will once again revive that wonderful tradition that hns begun to fade into the past. Swenson's offers its patrons a large variety of ice creams and sundaes in addition to various hamburgers, soups and sandwiches. It was a pleasant change from the typical hamburger in a fast food restaurant. My partner tried a grilled cheese sandwich with a side order of french fries. FOR THAT person with a small appetite, side orders are also available. And the dieter will be especially glad to see cottage cheese on the menu along with sauteed mushrooms and clam chowder. Prices for side orders range from .90 to $2.95. Swenson's, however, has become most popular for its large variety of ice creams and sundaes. And even if you're on a diet, sometimes the temptation is too much to resist. Sundaes listed were Black Bart, Treasure Island Float, Sarsaparilla, Phosphates and Mr. San Francisco. That might make for an excellent afternoon out with some friends. : one UK tne tilings that makes Swenson's so much fun is that you can eat almost any type of ice I cream to suit your mood. That's" I just what I did. I decided to try a jj sundae with pistachio ice cream, topped with butterscotch and walnuts. A strange combination, I but there are no rules to this game I and that's what makes t so much I fun. But you'll find that once you've eaten at Swenson's, you'll always 1 feel that urge to return just 'one I more time' to try something else. J Such is the case with me. By the recommendation of a friend, I plan to return next time to try the Oreo ice cream!
