DeLuca talked about the life he has chosen. "I do one of these
shows every single day of my life from the end of August to
the end of May, with a break around Christmas," he said.
He said he gets little sleep with this schedule, but fights
that problem with "a lot of self-hypnosis on the plane."

DeLuca, who earned a master's degree is psychology from
Sagemon State University in Illinois in 1978, said he has been
touring for about three years. Though much of his hypnotic
themes are now standard for him, he said his comedy
changes frequently.

He admits the shows are tough, but he also knows he's good
? and there is "competition and pride" involved. With the
sort of stuff Tom DeLuca's got, one gets the feeling he's got
an upper hand in almost any competition.
