Probably most of us never
had to worry about money or
budgets until we started our
college years. Even now,
with the economy at such a
low point, we find ourselves
more skeptical about how we
spend our money. Very few
college students are wealthy
and so, as many other
thousands of students
around the world, we must
limit ourselves in how much
we money we spend.
In recent years, the
Gamecock, in conjunction
with numerous restaurants

beer.
IT'S NOT unusual to see
blank spaces in old
newspapers where students
have cut out a coupon so they
could eat. The coupons have
proved to be a valuable asset
to the student.
Pizza Express, Domino's,
Sandy's, and Big Bird are
just a few of the establishments
that have become
popular with students
because of their couixms.
And, more recently, other
restaurants and clothing
stores have joined in the
effort to assist students.

DON'T LET anyone fool
you. Coupons do save
money. Almost every
student that walks, into
Sandy's has a coupon in hand
and at least 75 percent of all
orders made at Domino's
Pizza are accompanied with
a coupon.
Just think about it. If you
used a coupon every time
you ate at Sandy's,
Domino's, Pizza Express or
any of the other restaurants,
by the end of the semester
you would find that you have
probably saved about $100.
And, after four years of
college, that adds un to at
least $400.

IT IS important that we
become aware of moneysaving
tips now, because
once we gei mio tne real'

discover that things are even
more expensive out there. If
we allow ourselves to utilize

West Columbia, there are
also a lot of restaurants who
cater to the needs of
students. Columbia has
geared itself for the
students' budget and it is for
your benefit that we take

ONE OF the more popular
ads carried in the Gamecock
is Monday Madness at
Domino's Pizza. In addition
to the excellent prices, it also
offers free cokes with the
purchase of a 16" pizza.
Sandy's has become a
favorite spot with USC
students because of its video
games and excellent prices.
