THE NUMBERS,a four-man rock'n'roll
a band from Charleston, will perform at 9:30
p.m. tomorrow and Friday in the Golden
Spur. Admission is $1.50, with beer specials
both nights and a surprise ? the second
annual Moose Calling Contest ? tomorrow.
THE USC Chamber Orchestra will perEpiscopal
Cathedral, 1100 Sumter Street.
Several faculty performers involved in the
recent September Concerts series will be
heard again. The concert is free and open to
STELLA KEISLER, a graduate student
RX formance from USC, will give a recital at 8
v p.m. tomorrow at the Columbia Museums of

THE PUBLIC is invited to view exhibits of
thousands of postage stamps, covers and
philatelic items at SEPEX, the
Southeastern Stamp Exhibition, to be held
by the Columbia Philatelic Society at the
Town House Saturday, Oct. 9, from 10 a.m.
to 6 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 10, from 10 a.m.
to 4 p.m.
Experts will be on hand to give free advice
as to the identification and value of stamp
items.
Among the many interesting exhibits
already received for viewing are:
autographed covers, New York Foreign
Cancels, Private Posts, Early Railroad Mail
Routes, Exposition Covers, Stampless
Covers, Columbia Confederates, Postal
History and Pacolet Mills Fancy Cancels.
The following presentations will be made:
The American Philatelic Society Gold,
Silver and Bronze awards, The Apfelbaum
award, The American First Day Cover
Society award, The Bureau Issues
Association award, The United Stationery
Society award, The Columbia Philatelic
Society award and the Silver Bowl Grand
Award.
The exhibit is free.
