TO PARTICIPATE in the exchange
program, a USC student must either be a
sophomore or junior and have a cumulative
GPR of at least 2.5.
Interested students should submit an
application and $25 application fee to the
Office of Student Development before midFebruary
and list their top three choices of
schools from a list of possible choices. After
gaming permission to participate from his
academic dean, a student will discuss his
decision with the Student Development
Office, and then office members attend a
nationwide conference in which students
from all participating colleges are placed.
"We always try to place students in one of
their top two choices if possible," Shanley
said.
Another benefit of the program is that the
Office of Student Development tries to cut
red tape, so students fill out a minimum
