The long awaited USC Telephone
Directories should be distributed by 5 p.m.
today, according to Jerry Brewer, assistant

Brewer said the delay was because of
problems with the printer. The phone books
were delivered to campus Monday, but
according to Brewer a mix-up in communications
between Central Supply and
the Student Affairs Office caused an additional
two-day delay.
Brewer said the books would be delivered
to all campus buildings by 5 p.m. today and

THE FOOTBALL TICKET pickup
procedure has been changed, effective this
week.
Starting Thursday tickets can be
validated at Russell House Information
Desk from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. No tickets or
validations win be available on Fridays.
Saturdays, tickets are available at the
stadium from noon until the tickets run out.
Tuesday and Wednesday pickup has not
been changed. Tuesday, tickets can be
picked up from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Russell
House room 203. Wednesday pickup is at
Russell House Information Desk from 8
a.m. to4p.m.

the annual USC CROP walk will meet
tomorrow at 6 p.m. at the Presbyterian
Student Center at 1702 Greene St.
The 10-mile walk, to be held Sunday, Oct.
3, is sponsored by Church World Service.
Last year the walk raised $13,000, according
to CROP chairman Steve Price,
chaplain at the Presbyterian Student
Center. This year's goal is $20,000.

TWO COLUMBIA MEN were convicted in
General Sessions Court Monday for stealing
a bicycle from a bike rack at Barnwell
College.
Wade Thompson Jr., 22,4823 Jones St. and
Ronnie Lewis Thompson, 23, Saxon Homes
Apartments, were sentenced to 30 days in
jail or $200. The two men were arrested by
Columbia police Sept. 11, after they were
seen with the bike.
The men later confessed to stealing the
bike from a university bike rack. Police also
found a pair of bolt cutters in the men's
possession. The two men were turned over
to University Police and later charged.
