Women's No. 1 and 2 ranked softball teams, Barroom
Buddies and Kappa Delta will battle for the top position of the
Gamecock Intramural Softball Poll 5:30 p.m. Thursday on
Field C.
Both teams have easily established 4-0 records. Barroom
Buddies edged fourth-ranked Skoal, the only game that
either team has not routed its nnnnnt?nt RarrnAm

routed Alpha Kappa Alpha, Zeta Tau Alpha and South Tower
15-4, 28-0 and 21-2, respectively. Kappa Delta won one game
by forfeit and destroyed Zeta Tau Alpha, Capstone and South
Tower, 20-1,10-5 and 17-3, respectively.
In the men's top 20 competition, Sigma Chi moved up to
10th after edging past Sigma Phi Epsilon 10-9. Sigma Phi
Epsilon slipped to 14th because of the loss. Wade Hampton
Hotel manhandled Thornwell, who was previously ranked
fifth, 9-2. The Hotel moved up to 16th while Thornwell slipped
to 20th.
Marsh Mellows continued their grasp on first in the Co-Rec
poll by defeating the School of medicine 8-4.
All teams that have won at least 60 percent of their games
will be in the playoffs. Regular season ends Sunday and a
playoff meeting will be held Monday at the P.E. Center.
