Three of the new players ? Candi Rawl, Pat Dufficy j and Liz Holland ? joined the . team last Thursday at Coach i Terry Kelly's open tryouts. < A fourth ? Cindi Rawl ? This year, w however, she switched a sports "I wanted to play soft- ^ ball," Dufficy says. "It's my p favorite sport. Since I got a softball scholarship, I went ahead and played." 1 As a freshman, Dufficy i played in 24 games and c averaged three points and ? two rebounds per game. As a sophomore, she scored about i 4.0 points and hauled in 2.7 rebounds per game. e "I was a '30-point player'" . t she laughs. "I played when i we were winning by 30 or \ losing by 30. Duffirv admits that without basketball to worry about this past fall, she fell a little bit out of shape. "The first months of 1 school, I didn't do much I because I didn't have I basketball to start with and softball didn't start until January. Now, I gotta' get my tail in shape quick. < Although she' has been \ jack on the team only for i only six days, she is a < veteran. "It feels real good to be back," she smiles.
