WUSC, the university radio station, will
be making changes within the year which
will improve production and increase
broadcast service, according to Andy
Moore, station manager.

^ 10 to3,000 watts. It is estimated the station
% will spend $35,000 to $38,000 for new
equipment necessary for the increase. The
Senate Finance Committee approved the
purchase in Oct. 1981. The Federal Communication
Commission has not yet issued a
construction permit, however.
The transmitting tower which now stands
20 feet tall will also be increased to about 40
feet. Although there are taller structures on
campus, the Federal Aviation Administration
will still have to approve it.
Completion of this project is scheduled for
six to nine months from the time the ap^
provals are given.
