In regard to Mr.
Weatherbee's letter (and the
responses), I would like to
have my say about the gays.
I too have had close encounters
with the gay world.

However, I feel that
bathrooms are for private
matters, not pleasure trips.
I can agree that a healthy
society is not ashamed of
their actions. I ask Mr. Fata,
"If one is not ashamed of
their actions, then why do

considered the Gamecock a
progressive, open-minded
newspaper; a responsible
spokesman for all the
students. By referring to the
bathroom sex in Russell
House and generalizing that
all gays would care to
engage in this sad and
ritualistic sex, you have set
back on this campus any
progress gays may have
made towards arcpntaripp
But perhaps that was your
purpose.
Compassion and thought
