The senate debated a proposal that would make groups and
organizations of 30 people or fewer eligible for block seating
) at basketball games, according to Kyle Pruitt, chairman of
the student athletic committee.

Any such proposal put into effect this season would not be
binding after this year, Pruitt said. "As it (block seating)
gains in popularity,we would probably have to do away with
it.
"Right now the whole thing is really up in the air as to what
we're going to do," he said.
Pruitt also said Student Government rules for the Clemson
football ticket pickup will be available sometime next week.
"The rules will mainly be concerned with the people who will
be camping out to wait in line.
"THINGS ARE going to be a lot different this year in the
respect that once you get in line, you'd better stay there
he said. "We're going to start cracking down this vear."

Pruitt said as a result of the new validation rule, pickup
will be less hectic this year. "Since students will only be able
to pick up a ticket for themselves, I suspect things will go a
lot slower this time."
In other business, the Student Senate allocated $500 to buy
5,000 SCE&G bus coupons for USC students. Student
Government will absorb $100 of the allocation in order to
provide a 20 percent discount to students.
