as far as the passing game.
"We started off the year
with everyone talking about
our good depth in the running
back positions, but now
we've about used up that
depth."
The loss of Reeves, who
gained 57 yards in 15 carries
through two games, thrusts

running attack, but Fligg
has confidence in his backups.
4'We're trying to bring
Hagood around," Fligg said
of 6-2, 200-pound freshman.
"We haven't worked Berry
as extensively, but after
working with him yesterday
(Wednesday) I don't think it
(adjusting to the offense)
will be a problem for him.''
FLIGG ADDED that the
lack of game experience by
Berrv and Hacood might
result in playing the starting
backs "a little bit more."
"We'd naturally rather
have Aubin (than a younger
player)," Fligg said of the
gap at wide receiver. "He's

he's an older player." Aubin
has caught three passes for
an average of 16.3 yards in
two games.
"Chivers is a day-to-day
type situation," Fligg said of

"WE WILL switch starters
this week at center," he said.
"Kenny Gil will start rather

centers have done extremely
well getting the exchange
cleanly to the quarterbacks
? knock on wood ? and
that's an area we worried
about going into the season."
Once again, the decision of:
who will start as quar-'
terback has not been made
or announced, Fligg said.
"Coach Carlen pretty
much makes that decision at
the very end," Fligg explained.
"Both of them will
play, though."
" IDEALLY SPEAKING, I
think it's better to have a
No.l quarterback that is
head over heels better than
the back-up," Fligg continued."But
we don't have
that situation; our boys are
reasonably equal. It really
wouldn't be fair to the boys
or to the whole fpam to not
put one of them into the
game and try to make
changes in the offense.
Because they're so close, we
have to take advantage of
each's talent.
"We might never have a
cut-and-dry situation (this
year).
"At least we don't have a
reserve quarterback who is
put in the game only having
thrown three passes for the
season," he said.
