Omega Psi Phi beat Kappa
Sigma 51-40 to stay in third
place in the Gamecock Intramural
Basketball Poll
and highlight the week's
action. The Student Bar
Association remained unbeaten
and continues to hold
down the top spot.
Omega used hot outside
shooting to overcome a
disqualification and defeat
ninth-rated Kappa Sigma.
Omega had to play without
the services of starting
center Derrick Pinckney.
Pinckney was removed from
the game after it was
discovered his name was not
entered into the scorebook.
This would have drawn a
technical foul earlier in the
season, but a new interpretation
of the rules
dictated his removal.
Center Willie Scott, a
former Gamecock tight end,
took Pinckney's place and
scored nine of his 13 points in
the first half to give Omega a
21-18 halftimelead.
Forward Tei*ry Scott took
