Tim Donahue and James

play from the original

directing the show. The new
adaption was given yet
another twist with a new
musical score composed by
Christopher Reynolds. As a
result, the unique play
emergaed as a modern but

'THE TWINS" plot is
presented in contemporary
American English although
the setting is typical ol
ancient Rome. The pla>
revolves around a young
man's search for his long

One of the better, actors
was Charlie Peterson who
plays second fiddle to one of
the twins. As Peniculus, his
giddy brother-in-law, whose
main passion is satisfying
his anormous appetite, and
goes as far as giving his
savory desires sexual
connoiauons.
As for the women in the
play, Susan Reeves as the
seductive Erotium and
Fredrica Lawlor as the
twin's whining wife could not
have been funnier if per
formed by Broadway actresses.
Susan Reeves
played the sultry "lady"
whom the twins "wined,
dined, and combined with."
Fredrica was hilarious as
the badgering hag who
looked like an obese version
of Phyllis Diller.
THROUGHOUT THE
FLAY six songs added more
comedic flavor to the plot
with their looney yet
suggestive lyrics.
i After the twins finally
discover each other, they
i join together for a song and
[ dance, which comes across
i as a soft shoe routine. For
; the grand finale, the entire
- cast chime in tor tne speci
tacle.
3 Although the play was only
i 75 minutes long, there was
^ enough comedy to satisfy
< anyone looking for laughs.
j "The Twins" was
j definitely a comedy that
0 should not have been missed
by theater enthusiasts. It
[j was a welcomed change for
s those looking for something
to smile about.
